July 31

Healthy Pulled Chicken
This one recipe is going to make three meals. Trust me. First up, double the recipe!
For tonight, use the chicken to make Ro-Tel Chicken Spaghetti or Chicken Broccoli Pasta Bake.
August 1

Easy Puff Pastry Chicken Pockets
These are so good and simple to make with the leftover chicken from Monday. Serve with a side salad and you're good to go!
And if you like buffalo sauce, try this spicy Buffalo Chicken Puff Pastry recipe.
August 2

Chicken Hashbrown Casserole
This is so creamy and delicious - and with the last of your leftover chicken - EASY!!
It's loaded with ranch flavor, gooey cheese and bacon. What could be better?
Serve with a fresh green salad, or mix in your favorite frozen veggies before baking.

August 3

Potato Sausage Casserole
I know you're sick of chicken by now so how about this casserole with ground sausage?
You could also make this with ground beef, although you might want to add a bit more seasoning.
August 4

Grilling Sirloin Steak Tips
These tips are so flavorful and delicious, and perfect if you can pick them up on sale!
Serve with Cherry BBQ Sauce and Grilled Corn on the Cob or Crispy Smashed Potatoes.

📅Food Holidays
With so many serious and scary things in our world, it's fun to have something light and silly to distract us sometimes. Food holidays may not be a reason for a bank holiday (although who wouldn't want a day off to celebrate National Ice Cream Sandwich day??) but they're fun to think about.
They're also a really great way to get your kids in the kitchen and talking about food. This is especially great for picky eaters. Did you know that exposing your kids to new foods - even if they don't eat them - is a great way to help them build healthy habits? It's true.
Now that being said, we have a lot of sweet food days this week, so I'll stick with my mom's mantra of all things in moderation!
- 7/31 - National Raspberry Cake Day
- check out this recipe for Raspberry Chocolate Pancake Bundt Cake
- 7/31 - National Cotton Candy Day
- celebrate with our kid-friendly Sparkling Cotton Candy Drink
- 8/1 - National Raspberry Cream Pie Day
- 8/2 - National Ice Cream Sandwich Day
- find the perfect recipe from our list of Ice Cream Sandwiches
- 8/3 - National Watermelon Day
- cool off with Watermelon Agua Fresca or try a Watermelon Mojito
- 8/3 - National IPA Day
- 8/4 - National Chocolate Chip Cookie Day
- put a spin on the classic with Chocolate Chip Toffee Cookies or Chocolate Chip Peanut Butter Oatmeal Cookies
- 8/5 - National Oyster Day
- 8/6 - National Root Beer Float Day
- how fun would it be to make these Root Beer Float Cupcakes?
- 8/6 - National Mustard Day (first Saturday in August)
In addition to these individual days, August is also:
- National Panini Month
- National Peach Month
- National Sandwich Month
- National Catfish Month
I don't know who comes up with these things, but it seems like a fun job to me!
🍳Breakfast

Tater Tot Breakfast Casserole
This is my number one, never-fail, go-to breakfast casserole. It is super easy to make and everyone loves it. It's especally great to make on Sunday and then warm up leftovers for busy weekday mornings.
- Blueberry Breakfast Cookies
- Apple Pie Smoothies
- Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Muffins
- Pineapple Smoothie Bowl
🥨Snacks

Oatmeal Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Balls
I love these little energy balls! They're great for lunch boxes, but since I work from home, I love keeping them in the fridge and grabbing one when I go to refill my water bottle.
They're packed with protein and easy to customize to suit your family's tastes and dietary needs.

🧁Dessert

Cotton Candy Fudge
Make a batch of this super fun cotton candy fudge - also known as unicorn fudge or mermaid fudge - to celebrate National Cotton Candy Day on July 31.

✔️ Keep your leftovers fresh by using quality airtight containers - these are my favorite.
✔️ Double the recipe on Sunday and use the leftovers on Monday and Tuesday!
✔️ Stock up on fresh local corn and freeze it for later. Check out this post from Jami that will tell you how to freeze corn three ways: blanched, unblanched and whole. It's a great way to save money!
