I’ve pulled together my favorite steak side dishes, including what to serve with steak bites, that are quick to make and totally family-approved. These are restaurant-quality recipes you can make at home that are just right for a celebration dinner, date night in, or holiday meal.

1. Garlic Butter

Okay, so we’re not starting with a side dish per se but it’s my number one steak dinner must have!

Adding a pat of compound butter to the top of your steak is a great way to elevate your meal.

With lemon zest, garlic, parsley, and seasonings, this easy condiment adds so much flavor.

I always serve some type of flavored butter with steak. This steakhouse butter or my copycat Benihana butter are both great additions.
