- Spray crockpot with your favorite non-stick cooking spray.
- Add apple pie filling (homemade or canned) to the bottom of your slow cooker.
- In a large bowl, combine the dry cake mix, brown sugar, and cinnamon.
- Sprinkle cake mix mixture on top of the apple mixture.
- Melt the stick of butter (1 cup) in a microwave-safe bowl and drizzle the melted butter over cake mix evenly over the top of the cake mix.
- Cover and cook on high for 2 ½ - 3 hours.
- Serve warm.
