How to Make Apple Blueberry Muffins: batter in a bowl.

Storage

To Store: Leftover muffins should be stored in an airtight container. These can be kept at room temperature, however, if it is humid I suggest you keep them in the fridge. (These are my favorite airtight containers.)

To Freeze: Wrap each muffin in plastic wrap or aluminum foil. Place all the muffins into a large resealable bag. Label and freeze.

To Thaw: Remove one or more muffins and place in the fridge to thaw overnight.

You can add blackberries or raspberries to these apple berry muffins, too.

Variations

You can substitute a third of the all-purpose flour for whole wheat flour if you prefer. Of course, this recipe can also be made with 1:1 gluten-free flour.

You can use whole milk, skim milk, or almond milk in this recipe.

To make this a more healthy muffin recipe, consider adding a tablespoon of ground flax seed or wheat germ.
