There are a few simple ingredients you'll need for making these delicious fajitas:
- chicken - white or dark meat, use your favorite. I prefer white meat and that's what I used in this chicken fajita recipe.

- onion - yellow or white onion, you can even use red onion. It just has a more mild flavor
- tortillas - corn or flour
- fajita seasoning mix - for spicy deliciousness!
- fresh lime - adds the perfect tang
- olive oil - a great hearty-healthy oil

In addition to a cutting board and knife for prepping the ingredients, you'll also need a good baking sheet. I love these half sheets because there's plenty of room to spread the food in a single layer which means more flavor!

Frequently Asked Questions
Are fajita mix and taco mix the same? Actually, they are quite similar, and in a pinch, you can certainly use taco seasoning.
Both usually have garlic powder and onion powder, however, taco mix typically has more chili powder while fajita mix is more earthy with cumin and spicy red pepper flakes.
Making homemade fajita seasoning is easy and it tastes so much better than store-bought mixes.
Cowboy Caviar with corn, black beans, and loads of veggies is a great starter to serve with fajitas! Place out a big bowl of tortilla chips and you have a restaurant-worthy meal!
I don't but do what works for you! Any of your favorite toppings work just fine. Top with lettuce, sour cream, or chopped jalapeños - finish with a squeeze of lime!
