⏲️ Storage
Store leftover cherry pie bars in an airtight container for 4-5 days. These are some of my favorite airtight containers.
⭐ Tips
- If you want the glaze to be bright white, use clear vanilla extract. Regular vanilla extract will give your glaze a slight tan pigment.
- Room temperature eggs will incorporate into the batter more easily. Take them out about 30 minutes before you want to use them, along with the butter.
📖 Variations
These bars can be made with any type of fruit pie filling. Next time you make them, swap out the cherry for blueberry, strawberry or apple.
For a lemon glaze, omit the vanilla extract and milk and replace it with 2-3 tablespoons of lemon juice. You can do the same thing with a little almond extract for an almond glaze. (The flavor of almonds with sweet cherries is so good!)
