When you come home to a house smelling like this Honey Garlic Slow Cooker Chicken Recipe you’ll thank me. This is one of my favorite easy recipes because it’s not only delicious and simple, but something the whole family enjoys.

This tender chicken in honey garlic sauce is so amazing! Crock pot honey garlic chicken can be made with either boneless skinless chicken thighs or boneless skinless chicken breasts.

Dishes like Italian Roast Beef, Slow Cooker Italian Wedding Soup or even Slow Cooker Apple Cobbler, really make my life easier. It’s why I make so many slow cooker recipes!

🧂 Ingredients

  • Tomato Paste
  • Rice Wine Vinegar
  • Honey
  • Soy Sauce
  • Onion
  • Yellow Pepper
  • Fresh Garlic
  • Red Pepper Flakes
  • Chicken Breasts or Boneless Chicken Thighs
  • Carrots
  • Sesame Seeds and Scallions (optional)
  • White or Brown Rice or Noodles, for serving, if desired
  • Salt and Black Pepper, to taste

🔪Instructions

  1. Whisk together the tomato paste, rice wine vinegar, honey, and soy sauce until smooth.
  2. Add in the diced vegetables and minced garlic. Add red pepper flakes, if desired.
  3. Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper and add to the slow cooker.
  4. Set the slow cooker on LOW to cook for 5 hours.
  5. 30 minutes before serving, add the carrots and remove the chicken. Use two forks to pull it apart. Return to the slow cooker.
  6. In a small dish, make a slurry with cornstarch and water. This will thicken the sauce.
  7. Turn the heat up to high for 30 minutes.

  • 1-1/2 tablespoon tomato paste
