Spinach is basically a powerhouse when it comes to nutrition. It is an excellent source of vitamins A, C, and folate, as well fiber, magnesium, calcium, zinc, and iron, it’s no wonder so so many people drink green smoothies.

Best Spinach Smoothie Ingredients
- Ice cubes
- Frozen pineapple, peaches, or mango
- Frozen banana slices
- Diced apple
- Baby spinach
- Nonfat plain Greek yogurt or your favorite dairy-free option
- Milk or orange juice
- Sweetener (honey or agave) optional
Can I use frozen spinach in a smoothie?
You can use frozen spinach, however since it has been blanched before it is frozen, it may not have the same fresh taste. For best results, I recommend fresh baby spinach. If you do use frozen spinach, keep in mind that it is more compact, so you’ll only need about 1/3 of a cup.
