I am a Barlean’s Brand Ambassador and this Lemon Vinaigrette recipe is sponsored by Barlean’s.  All opinions are my own. #ad #30YearsofFlax

If you like making delicious healthy homemade salad dressing like our Pomegranate Vinaigrette, then you will definitely enjoy this Lemon Vinaigrette Recipe.  With garlic, Dijon mustard, lemon juice and zest, there are plenty of yummy flavors here.  What sets this recipe apart from other salad dressings is the Flax Oil from Barlean’s, which we use in addition to olive oil.

A bowl of garden salad sits on a table with a bottle of Barleans Flax Oil, a cruet of lemon dressing, a whole lemon and sliced lemon, and ramekins of salt and pepper.

Because this recipe uses both red wine vinegar and lemon juice as the acid, it is not sour. Instead, it has bright lemon notes with a bit of garlic. The parsley adds some extra freshness while the Flax Oil lends a yummy nuttiness to the Lemon Vinaigrette Dressing.

Health Benefits of Flax Oil

Barlean’s Organic Clear Flax Oil is high in ALA Omega-3 fatty acid.  It is also USDA Organic, Non-GMO verified, Gluten Free, and Kosher. It’s a great addition to your diet, especially if you don’t get much Omega-3 naturally. I’m all about multi-tasking so if I can add a little extra nutrition, I’m all over it! Flax Oil may help with the following:

  • benefit heart health
  • reduce cancer growth cells
  • improve skin health
  • reduce inflammation

Making our Lemon Vinaigrette recipe as we have tested it will yield the best results. If you really want to get creative, here are some ideas for variations that might work well. (Please note, we have not tested these variations).

  • Swap out the garlic for shallots for a more mild flavor.
