Homemade Ranch Seasoning Mix
This recipe has been adapted from Gimme Some Oven. See the original recipe here. Here’s how to make your own homemade ranch seasoning mix:
2/3 cup dry buttermilk
1/4 cup dried parsley
3 teaspoons dried dill weed
1 tablespoon garlic powder
1 tablespoon onion powder
1 tablespoon dried onion flakes
1 tablespoon ground black pepper
2 teaspoon dried chives
2 teaspoons salt
In a small mixing bowl, combine the ingredients and gently whisk together until well mixed. Store in an airtight container for up to 3 months. I like to use mason jars to store my seasoning mixes.
To Make Ranch Dressing:
Combine 1 tablespoon of the Homemade Ranch Seasoning Mix with 1/3 cup mayonnaise and 1/3 cup milk, and whisk to combine. (You can also substitute Greek yogurt for the mayonnaise if you prefer).
To Make Your Own Ranch Dip:
Combine 2 tablespoons of the Homemade Ranch Seasoning Mix with 1/3 cup sour cream. Mix well and serve with chips or fresh veggies.
