Ingredients

There are a few simple ingredients you’ll need for making these delicious fajitas:

  • chicken – white or dark meat, use your favorite. I prefer white meat, and that’s what I used in this chicken fajita recipe.
  • red, green, and orange bell peppers – the colored peppers are a little sweeter than the green, but you can certainly use all green if you’d prefer.
  • onion – yellow or white onion, you can even use red onion. It just has a milder flavor
  • tortillas – corn or flour
  • fajita seasoning mix – I love my homemade fajita seasoning for spicy deliciousness, but store-bought works, too.
  • fresh lime – adds the perfect tang
  • olive oil – a great hearty-healthy oil

Are you ready to give this sheet pan chicken fajitas recipe a whirl? I know you’ll love it, in fact, the whole family will I’m sure!

Frequently Asked Questions

What’s the difference between taco seasoning and fajita seasoning?

Are fajita mix and taco mix the same? Actually, they are quite similar, and in a pinch, you can certainly use taco seasoning.
Both usually have garlic powder and onion powder, however, taco mix typically has more chili powder while fajita mix is more earthy with cumin and spicy red pepper flakes.
Making homemade fajita seasoning is easy and it tastes so much better than store-bought mixes.

What do you serve with chicken fajitas?

Cowboy Caviar with corn, black beans, and loads of veggies is a great starter to serve with fajitas! Place out a big bowl of tortilla chips and you have a restaurant-worthy meal!

Do you put lettuce on fajitas?

I don’t but do what works for you! Any of your favorite toppings work just fine. Top with lettuce, sour cream, or chopped jalapeños – finish with a squeeze of lime!

Homemade Guacamole
The key to making restaurant-quality guacamole at home is using fresh ingredients. This is the perfect compliment to tacos, quesadillas, and burritos – or just with a bowl of tortilla chips!
