These Air Fryer Chicken Tenders are kid-approved and great for picky eaters! Frozen tenders can get expensive quickly, but you can make these easy chicken tenders using ingredients you may already have on hand! This recipe is perfect for using leftover chicken or breadcrumbs too!

Ingredients

You only need eight ingredients to make these easy Air Fryer Chicken Tenders, and you can dip them in whatever sauce you’d like! In less than 15 minutes, you have a fantastic dinner to feed your family!

  • Chicken tenders
  • Eggs
  • Breadcrumbs
  • Panko crumbs
  • Garlic powder
  • Black pepper
  • Seasoned salt
  • All-purpose flour
  • Ketchup (or try our spicy ketchup)
  • Honey mustard
  • Ranch dressing
Ingredients for air fried chicken tenders - chicken, flour, breadcrumbs, eggs and seasonings.

Instructions

  1. Preheat you air fryer to 370 degrees F
  2. Add bread crumbs and seasonings to shallow bowl or plate and combine
  3. Beat eggs and put in a shallow bowl
  4. Place flour in a shallow bowl
  5. Dip a chicken tender in flour, eggs, and then in breadcrumbs mixture. Be sure to coat evenly.
  6. Set aside on plate or tray
  7. Repeat with 3-4 more tenders
  8. Cook chicken for 8-10 minutes, depending on size
  9. While chicken is cooking, prepare more chicken with coating
  10. Repeat cooking in batches until all chicken is cooked
  11. Serve immediately with your favorite dipping sauce

  • 1 pound chicken tenders
  • 2 large eggs beaten
  • ½ cup breadcrumbs
  • ¼ cup Panko crumbs **see notes
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder

  • Clean and trim any remaining fat from the chicken if necessary
    1 pound chicken tenders
  • Add bread crumbs and seasonings to shallow bowl and combine well
    ½ cup breadcrumbs, ½ teaspoon garlic powder, ¼ teaspoon black pepper, ½ teaspoon seasoned salt, ¼ cup Panko crumbs **see notes
  • Add beaten eggs to their own shallow bowl
    2 large eggs
  • Add flour to a shallow bowl
    ½ cup all-purpose flour
  • Dip a chicken tender in flour, then in eggs, and then in breadcrumbs mixture. Be sure to coat evenly.
    Ketchup
  • Set the tender aside on plate or tray
  • Repeat with 3-4 more tenders.
  • Cook chicken for 8-10 minutes, or until golden and internal temperature reaches 165 degrees F
  • While your first batch of chicken is cooking, prepare more chicken tenders with the coating
  • Repeat cooking in batches until all chicken is cooked
  • Serve immediately with your favorite dipping sauce
    Honey Mustard, Ranch Dressing, Your favorite dip sauce

  • Breadcrumbs: You can use all Panko, all breadcrumbs, a combination or even use crackers crumbs
  • It’s best to cook the chicken tenders in batches. You don’t want to over-crowd your air fryer.
