National Hamburger Day is May 28th every year. In fact, did you know that May is National Burger Month? We’ve got loads of delicious burger recipes, must-have condiments, burger sides, and even burger deals for you!

We love burgers which is why we’re excited to celebrate National Burger Day! Of course, you don’t need a special occasion to enjoy a good burger so keep this post handy for great side dish, condiments, and of course burger recipes.

🍔 Burgers for Days

These juicy burgers are so flavorful that you better make extras because people are going to want a second one! Here are my go-to burger recipes:

How long do I cook burgers?

I recommend the following cook times depending on how you like your burger:

Rare: 6 minutes
Medium rare: 7 minutes
Medium: 8 minutes
Medium-well: 9 minutes
Well-done: 11 minutes

Of course, this also depends on the size of your burgers so use this as a guide for a 1/4 pound patty.

Must-Have Condiments

Your standard burgers have things like lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, and red onions. I like to place these on the side so people can customize their burgers.

But when it comes to making a burger really special, that’s where the condiments come into play!

I like to set out both the expected and unexpected like spicy ketchup, honey mustard, BBQ sauce, lime mayo, donkey sauce, and burger sauce.

Don’t forget salsa! It’s a great side dish or burger topping. Or try my Cowboy caviar – another burger favorite!

Whether you’re having a cookout for a crowd this summer, or just want an easy weeknight dinner, you can’t forget the burger side dishes!

Here are some of my favorite sides to serve with burgers:

onion rings – air fried to crispy perfection
cowboy corn casserole – creamy and cheesy
loaded potato salad – with bacony goodness
rainbow veggie kabobs – healthy side dish
Italian green bean salad – easy and delicous
cowboy baked beans – can be made on the grill, slow cooker, or stovetop
