Here are some questions (and answers!) readers often ask about this donkey sauce recipe.
This creamy mayonnaise-based sauce has a bold tangy flavor. The sauce is the perfect combination of sweet, sour, bitter, and salty - also known as Umami.
Yes! You can skip the oven and 'roast garlic' in the microwave if you're in a time crunch. Here's how:
1. Cut the top of the garlic head off to expose the cloves.
2. Place the garlic bulb into a small dish and add water almost to the top of the garlic.
3. Drizzle olive oil on top of the exposed garlic cloves.
4. Cook in the microwave at 40% power for 5 minutes. (Cooking time may vary. My microwave is 1000 watts.)
⭐ Tips
✔️ Use quality ingredients for the best flavor.
✔️ Adjust the consistency of the sauce by adding more or less
✔️ If you have time, allow the sauce to chill in the fridge for a few hours or overnight. Trust me, the flavor will be even more incredible!
🍲 Storage
To Store: Leftover donkey sauce stores wonderfully. Place it into an airtight jar or container. It will last 5-7 days in the fridge. (These are my favorite airtight containers.)
