Storage

To Store: Leftover turkey pinwheels should be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for 1-2 days. (These are my favorite airtight containers.)

Make Ahead

These pinwheels are best when eaten within 1-2 days, so I do not recommend making them more than 1 day in advance.

Variations

  • Try flavored tortilla wraps like spinach, sun-dried tomato, garlic herb, and even jalapeno for even more flavor. You can use low-carb tortillas also.
  • For the holidays, replace half the sour cream with jellied cranberry sauce.
  • If you love spice, replace half the sour cream with red pepper jelly.
  • If you’re not a fan of cheddar, you can use a different cheese. Swiss cheese, provolone, and pepper jack cheese are all great options.
  • Substitute honey mustard for the sour cream.
  • These delicious pinwheels can also be made with roast beef or ham.
  • Fresh herbs add great flavor to these turkey roll-ups- basil, green onions, tarragon, or chives are all yummy.

Serving Suggestions

For additional flavor, consider adding a little bit of your favorite dried herb such as thyme or tarragon. These turkey pinwheels are also delicious with fresh basil. You could also replace the kosher salt with a pinch of basil salt.
