Ingredients

Here’s what you’ll need to make your own Garlic Basil Butter:

  • salted butter
  • cloves garlic
  • fresh basil leaves

Instructions

  1. Add the butter to the bowl of an electric mixer fitted with a paddle attachment. Whip the butter until smooth and creamy.
  2. Remove from the mixer and add the minced garlic and chopped basil.   Use a spatula to fold the garlic and basil into the butter.
  3. Spread the butter mixture onto a piece of parchment paper about 4 inches long, by 2 inches wide. Roll the butter up in the parchment paper to make a long. Refrigerate until firm before cutting into slices.

(Alternatively, you can also transfer the Garlic Basil Compound Butter into an airtight container such as a mason jar).
