I love the simplicity of this recipe and it is super kid friendly. It is simple enough to do with small children too, which is fun. Some of my favorite memories are made in the kitchen with my kids. You will love how family friendly this easy recipe is and on top of that it’s super delicious!

Funfetti cake batter dip is a delicious treat to serve with fresh fruit and vanilla wafers and would be great sweet treat to add to a kid-friendly version of our Elegant Fruit Cheese Platter.

  • Funfetti Cake Mix
  • Vanilla Yogurt
  • Whipped Topping
  • Vanilla Extract
  • Rainbow Sprinkles
  • Food coloring optional – I added a few drops of red food coloring

  1. In a large bowl, or the bowl of your stand mixer, combine cake mix, vanilla yogurt, vanilla extract and sprinkles until creamy.
  2. Then, fold in the whipped topping by hand.
  3. Once it’s completely mixed move to serving dish.
  4. Top with additional sprinkles.

📖 Variations

  • Instead of vanilla yogurt, try strawberry or peach for a flavored cake batter dip.
  • Substitute a block of cream cheese instead of yogurt for a cake batter cheesecake dip.
  • You can also use a white cake mix instead of yellow cake mix.

🍴 Serving Suggestions

Serve this dip chilled with a variety of snacks to dip into it like strawberries, graham crackers, vanilla cookies, animal crackers. and pretzels.

It would be fun to make a holiday version of this delicious dessert dip with red and green sprinkles and gingerbread men cookies to dip!

⏲️ Storage

Store this cake batter dip in the refrigerator in an airtight container for 2-3 days. I recommend adding addition sprinkles just before you are going to serve this.

  • 1 Box Funfetti Cake Mix
  • 3 6oz containers of Vanilla Yogurt (18 oz total)
  • 1 1/2 cup Whipped Topping
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • 3 tablespoons Sprinkles of your choice
  • Food coloring optional – I added a few drops of red food coloring
  • Feel free to top the dip with sprinkles once you put it into your serving dish
