- Once dry, glue a layer of blocks around the bottom of the vase.
- Add a second layer, overlapping the first layer of blocks.
- Continue gluing wood blocks until you reach the top of the case.

⭐ Tips
For the cottage core or farmhouse look, add a light coat of white paint so you could still see the wood grain through it.
Variations
These wood candle holders can be painted any color you like, of course. You can even make them different heights - check out the selection of cylinder vases at your local dollar store. It would be fun to make smaller ones with tealight candles or short pillar candles.
