It’s summertime and it’s hot!  My favorite way to cool down is to grab an icy cold drink. This watermelon agua fresca is my new favorite. It’s so easy to make too.

Watermelon Agua Fresca not only tastes good, it’s also good for you! Watermelon is naturally low in calories and contains a high amount of vitamin A & C.

I love this refreshing drink because I can sip a drink that tastes delicious, but I also don’t have to worry about blowing all my calories on a beverage. During summer, that’s a win-win in my book!

⏲️ Storage

Watermelon Aqua Fresca is best served right when it’s made. It can be made and stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days however.

📖 Variations

  • If your watermelon isn’t very sweet, add a small amount of agave nectar when you’re blending the fruit.
  • For a more tart drink, double the lime juice.
  • I prefer to use carbonated water because I love the added fizz, but you can use flat water as well.
  • Make an aqua Fresca drink with other varieties of fresh fruit, such as mango, strawberries, or pineapple.
  • Watermelon Aqua Fresca is a non-alcoholic drink, but if you like, you can add a splash of vodka or rum to the drink for an easy cocktail.
