Hi, I’m Melissa, from Melissa’s Cuisine, and I’m happy to be back again this month with another fun recipe for you. This refreshing summer beverage is simple to make and delightfully delicious! With only 3 ingredients, this Watermelon Agua Fresca is sure to please.
It’s summertime and it’s hot! My favorite way to cool down is to grab an icy cold drink. This watermelon agua fresca is my new favorite. It’s so easy to make too. Just watermelon, a little lime juice, and water. Blend the watermelon and lime juice into a puree and add in some water. I prefer to use carbonated water because I love the added fizz, but you can use flat water as well. I recommend using cold watermelon and water to achieve the most refreshing drink possible!
The other great thing about this Watermelon Agua Fresca is that not only does it taste good, it’s also good for you! Watermelon is low in calories and contains a high amount of vitamin A & C. I love it because I can sip a drink that tastes delicious, but I also don’t have to worry about blowing all my calories on a beverage. During summer, that’s a win-win in my book!
Watermelon Agua Fresca
- 1 cup watermelon cubes
- 1 teaspoon lime juice
- 1/2 cup carbonated water
Blend the watermelon cubes and lime juice in your blender until pureed.
Pour into a cup and add the carbonated water.
Add ice if desired.
Note: If your watermelon isn't very sweet, add a small amount of agave nectar when you're blending the fruit.
