Beaches in Fort Myers
Of course, what would a vacation to Florida be without a trip to the beach?
We went to Lynn Hall Memorial Park near "Times Square" just before sunset. What a gorgeous spot!
We loved that there are spots to picnic and grill, restrooms and a licensed fishing pier, too.
It was the first time our kids had ever seen the Gulf of Mexico or a Florida sunset. This is a very popular beach, partially because it is so close to restaurants and shops. Parking can be tricky, but it is on the trolly stop.

Here are some other family-friendly beaches you might want to check out:
- Bowditch Point Beach Park on the tip of Estero Island is a great place to swim and play in the sand with restrooms and concessions.
- Crescent Beach Family Park - includes bathrooms and volleyball courts, but pets are not allowed.
