Make a bunch of these bright and colorful Rainbow Washi Tape Flagfor easy cupcake toppers, cake decorations or even appetizer picks!

Hi Juggling Act Mama readers! I am so excited to say that Ang has invited me to join her team of talented contributors! I am Keri and I blog over at Shaken Together! I am a momma to 2 boys, wife of almost 15 years, blogger, list maker, crafter, home cook, lover of the color red, no bake cookies, mason jars, pretty paper and paint! I love to share easy recipes, simple crafts, seasonal gifts and just all around fun ideas!
Okay, so now that we're friends, let's get crafting! These rainbow washi tape flags start with ... you got it! ... a big stack of rainbow colored washi tape! Washi tape is basically a craft tape that comes in every color and pattern you can imagine! You can order washi tape online and it is carried in most craft stores, too.
For this simple craft, I chose rainbow colors in ginghams, polka dots, stripes, squiggles and patterns! And yes, that is gold at the end of the rainbow!

For this project, you will only need 3 very basic supplies:
- washi tape
- flat toothpicks
- scissors
Once you have gathered your supplies, these rainbow washi tape flags are done in a matter of minutes!

How-To Make Rainbow Washi Tape Flags
- First, fold a length of washi tape in half around the top of a flat toothpick. (You can use round toothpicks if that is what you have, but the flat toothpicks make it very easy to fold the tape around.)
- Then, using scissors, trim the end of each flag into a 'v'.
- Once your flags are done, use them to decorate cupcakes, brownie bites, cakes or even to grab bite sized goodies!
You can use the same process to make washi tape flags to add to drinking straws or plastic silverware for a party! Speaking of parties, wouldn't these be perfect for a St. Patrick's Day, rainbow or even art themed party?!

These are so cute! I'm going to send them to my mom for my bridesmaid lunch, I bet we can make these with my wedding colors (burgundy, orange, yellow and cream since I'm getting married in the Fall)

Hallo there Keri and Ang. I was searching for a different kind of flag but Google brought me here. I must admit that I fell in love with the flag ideas and even made me think of how I will be making up one. Thanks a lot for sharing, I guess I am a fan now 🙂
Cheers!
