Niagara Falls Vacation
Niagara Falls is an iconic vacation spot that is just perfect for families. There are so many amazing views to take in, fun adventures to be had, and delicious food to consume! We've got some tips for you on how to make the most of your Niagara Falls Vacation!
Where to Stay
Don't get overwhelmed by all the hotels in the area. Consider the Sheraton Niagara Falls for comfortable rooms, convenient dining options, and lots of amenities. It is just a short walk from Niagara Falls State Park, and such a great spot for all kinds of travelers. A friendly staff member checked us into a Family Suite, and gave us information about the on-site restaurants, HydroSpa, The Reef Beach Club and Pool, At the Falls Arcade, and other amenities available to us.
Our room included a sitting area, bunk beds, and a separate room with two queen beds. We enjoyed having a refrigerator and microwave in our room. This room can sleep up to 9 in all! Our only disappointment was that the bathroom is on the small side, and there is only a shower - no bathtub. The beds at the Sheraton are truly wonderful with plush pillow top mattresses and comfy linens.
The minute we walked into the suite, the kids ran right to the bunk beds. They were so excited about each having their own televisions, too. Olivia set up her colored pencils and notebook on the desk. We loved having all the space to spread out. It's so important when you're traveling that everyone has a little space to themselves.

Where to Eat
There a several dining options you can enjoy during your Niagara Falls vacation without ever leaving the hotel, including
- Rainforest Cafe
- TGI Fridays
- Starbucks Cafe
- Sweet Treats Shop
You can also use the enclosed walkway to the Seneca Niagara Resort & Casino and dine in one of the restaurants there. Our favorite dining experience was at the Rainforest Cafe. It was the first time our kids had been and they enjoyed both the food and the atmosphere! The restaurant features rain forest decor with a variety of animatronic animals like tigers, gorillas and elephants. About every 20 minutes or so, there's a "thunder storm" - lights flash the whole restaurant erupts into a cacophony of animal sounds. It's pretty wild!
There's also the convenience of Sweet Treats. It's an ice cream and candy shop. You can grab a treat and listen to the free live music on Old Falls Street just outside of TGI Fridays.
Where to Relax
The HydroSpa at the Sheraton Niagara Falls is like nothing else I have ever experienced. It's a self-service spa experience where guests can try out a variety of spa services, including:
- Oxygen Bar
- Oxygen Facials
- Infrared Sauna
- Massage Chair
- Foot Massagers
- H2O Massage Bed
After a long day of walking around the park, it was amazing to relax for a little bit while Mr. Juggling Act took the kids to the pool!
How to Keep the Kids Happy
During your Niagara Falls vacation, be sure to check out the Reef Beach Club & Pool. The heated pool is quite comfortable, and the oversize hot tubs are perfect for relaxing after a long day of sightseeing. Our kids also loved looking at all the fish and the sharks! There's tons of comfy seating in the pool area, too.
Also right on site is the At the Falls Arcade is perfect for families to challenge one another to a car racing game, or practice pinball skills. It's also a great place to kill time if you're waiting for a table at the Rainforest Cafe or TGI Fridays.
Be sure to ask about family packages, which may include Arcade cards for the kids!
