Apple Walnut Overnight Oats

All the cozy flavors of apple pie packed into a make-ahead, grab-and-go breakfast! These kid-friendly oats are loaded with tender apples, crunchy walnuts, and warm spices for a wholesome, convenient way to start busy mornings.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups quick cooking oats divided
  • 1 cup applesauce divided
  • 1 cup milk divided
  • 1/4 teaspoon apple pie spice divided

Topping

  • 1/2 cup chopped apples
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar or maple syrup
  • 2 tablespoons chopped walnuts
  • pinch of cinnamon

Instructions

  • In a small bowl, glass or mason jar, combine 1/2 cup of oats with 1/4 cup of milk and 1/4 cup applesauce.
    2 cups quick cooking oats, 1 cup applesauce, 1 cup milk
  • Sprinkle with half of the apple pie spice.

  • Repeat the layers adding the remaining oats, milk and apple pie spice.
  • Refrigerate for 2-3 hours, or overnight.
  • Just before serving, combine the chopped apples with the brown sugar, chopped walnuts, and cinnamon.

  • Toss to coat.
  • Spoon over the overnight oats.
