Crock Pot Angel Chicken

Ingredients

  • 1.5 pounds chicken breast boneless and skinless
  • 4 ounces cream cheese
  • ¼ cup salted butter
  • 3 cloves minced garlic
  • cups cream of chicken soup OR Cream Soup Substitute or (1) 10.5 ounce can
  • ¾ cup chicken stock
  • 4 teaspoons Italian seasoning or 1 package store-bought Italian dressing mix such as Good Seasons
  • 1 pound angel hair pasta optional

Instructions

  • Spray the inside of your slow cooker with non-stick cooking spray.
  • Place the chicken in the prepared crockpot.

  • Melt butter and soften the cream cheese in the microwave. Whisk until smooth.
    ¼ cup salted butter, 4 ounces cream cheese
  • Whisk together the cream cheese mixture with the garlic, cream soup, Italian seasoning, and chicken stock.
    3 cloves minced garlic, 1½ cups cream of chicken soup OR Cream Soup Substitute, ¾ cup chicken stock, 4 teaspoons Italian seasoning or 1 package store-bought Italian dressing mix such as Good Seasons
  • Pour the creamy mixture over the chicken.
  • Set on LOW and cook for 6-8 hours. (Or set to HIGH for 3-4 hours.)
  • Shred the chicken about 30 minutes before serving.
  • For angel hair pasta, cook according to package directions and toss with the creamy chicken mixture. This meal is also delicious with mashed potatoes or rice.
