Marinating the Steak

  • Gently pat the steaks dry with paper towels and place them into a baking dish.
    2 8 oz. top sirloin steaks
  • In a small bowl, combine the olive oil, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, and coyboy steak rub.
    2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce, 1 tablespoon olive oil, 1 teaspoon garlic powder, 4 teaspoons Cowboy Steak Rub
  • Sour the marinade over the meat, taking care to cover all sides.
  • Cover and refridgerate for at least 30 minutes, and up to 24 hours.

Grilling the Steak

  • Remove the steaks from the fridge and let set on the counter to rest for 20-30 minutes.
  • Preheat the grill to on high (about 350°F — 400°F).
  • Lightly spray the grill with non-stick cooking spray.
  • Place the steaks onto the grill. For a good sear, do not move.
  • Flip the steaks and cook on the second side.
  • Check the internal temperature and remove at your desired doneness (see below).
  • Place the cooked steaks into a shallow dish and add a tablespoon of cowboy butter to each.

  • Lightly cover with aluminum foil and allow to rest for 5-10 minutes.

Grilled Steak Cooking Guide
For the best results, always check the internal temperature of the steaks. Here is a helpful guide:
  • Medium-Rare: 130 to 135 degrees F; cook for 3-5 minutes after flipping
  • Medium: 135 to 140 degrees F; cook for 5-7 minutes after flipping
  • Medium-Well: 140 to 150 degrees F; cook for 8-10 minutes after flipping
