Cut the fingerling potatoes in in half lengthwise.
Melt the butter in a microwave-safe bowl.
Toss the potatoes in the butter with olive oil.
Add the potatoes to the baking sheet.
Roast for 25-30 minutes, turning the potatoes half way through, until the potatoes are fork tender and golden brown.
Season with salt and pepper and serve hot.
