In a small bowl, mix together the ketchup, hot sauce, and chili powder.
1 cup tomato ketchup, 2 teaspoon hot sauce, 1 teaspoon chili powder
Serve immediately.
Notes
This recipe can be made ahead of time. Store it in an airtight container - I like to reuse old jars - in the refrigerator 1 week.
Recipe Variations
There are a lot of other ways you can dress up your ketchup besides using hot sauce and chili powder for spicy ketchup. Try one of these versions instead:
Add 1 teaspoon of ground cumin or smoked paprika for smoky ketchup.
If you prefer your condiments on the sweeter side, add 1 teaspoon of honey or brown sugar.
Combine 2 tablespoons of balsamic vinegar and 1 teaspoon of garlic powder to make your own balsamic ketchup.
