Easy homemade maple butter starts with salted butter, creamed with pure maple syrup and chopped bacon - what could be more decadent on top of pancakes, waffles or even just a bagel?
In the bowl of an electric mixer fitted with the paddle attachment, beat the butter until smooth and creamy.
1 cup unsalted butter, room temperature
Add the maple syrup and mix to combine.
¼ cup pure maple syrup
Chop the cooked bacon into small pieces.
4-5 slices cooked bacon
Remove the bowl from the mixer and add the bacon. Fold it in with a spatula.
Spoon the Maple Bacon Butter into a mason jar and serve.

Store leftovers in the refrigerator, covered, for up to 1 week.Variation: Add in ½ cup finely chopped walnuts for a nutty version of this delicious flavored butter!For the best taste, you need to use pure maple syrup.
