Avocado Ranch Dressing Recipe

Give your salad an upgrade with this fresh and delicious alternative to traditional ranch dressing. Creamy avocado, buttermilk and bright flavor from lemons and chives combine to make this easy dressing.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Buttermilk
  • ¼ cup mayonnaise
  • 3 tablespoon Sour Cream OR Plain Greek Yogurt
  • 2 avocados nice ripe avocados!
  • ¼ cup white wine vinegar or lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon pepper
  • 1 clove fresh garlic grated or finely minced
  • ½ lime juiced
  • 1 teaspoon dried chives or ½ teaspoon fresh
  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley or ½ teaspoon fresh
  • 1 teaspoon dried dill or ½ teaspoon fresh
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder

Instructions

  • Puree the avocado, buttermilk, mayo, sour cream, white wine vinegar, salt, pepper, garlic and lime juice in a blender or food processor until smooth.
  • Transfer to a 1-quart mason jar and add the chives.  Shake to combine.
  • Refrigerate 1 hour before serving to allow the flavors to combine.
