  • 4-5 pounds pork butt
  • 5 Fuji and Granny Smith apples cored and sliced
  • 2 sweet onions diced
  • 1 cup beef or vegetable broth
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • fresh herbs such as rosemary or thyme (optional)
  • salt and pepper, to taste


  • Layer the apples and onions on the bottom of the slow cooker. 
  • Top with the pork butt and season with salt and pepper, if desired.
  • Cook on low for 6 hours.
  • Serve over rice or potatoes and ENJOY!
