Ingredients

  • 4-5 pounds pork butt
  • 5 Fuji and Granny Smith apples cored and sliced
  • 2 sweet onions diced
  • 1 cup beef or vegetable broth
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • fresh herbs such as rosemary or thyme (optional)
  • salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  • Layer the apples, onions, and herbs on the bottom of the slow cooker. 
    5 Fuji and Granny Smith apples, 2 sweet onions, fresh herbs such as rosemary or thyme (optional)
  • Pour the broth on top.
    1 cup beef or vegetable broth
  • Add the pork butt and season with garlic powder, salt and black pepper, if desired.
    4-5 pounds pork butt, salt and pepper, to taste, 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Cook on low for 6 hours.
  • Serve over rice or potatoes and ENJOY!
