Homemade Peanut Butter Ice Cream Topping
Sweet peanut butter sauce perfect for spooning over ice cream
- 1 cup smooth peanut butter
- ¾ cup heavy cream
- ⅓ cup sugar
- ¼ cup light corn syrup
- ¼ teaspoon vanilla extract
Combine the peanut butter, heavy cream, sugar and corn syrup in a small saucepot over medium heat.
Whisk until the peanut butter is thoroughly melted, the sugar has dissolved, and the ingredients are completely combined (about 4 minutes).
Remove from the heat and whisk in the vanilla.
Let cool a few minutes before adding to ice cream.
Store in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks in an airtight container.
To Reheat:
Return to saucepot over medium heat and add 1-2 tablespoons heavy cream to thin.
