Homemade Peanut Butter Ice Cream Topping

Sweet peanut butter sauce perfect for spooning over ice cream

Ingredients

  • 1 cup smooth peanut butter
  • ¾ cup heavy cream
  • cup sugar
  • ¼ cup light corn syrup
  • ¼ teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  • Combine the peanut butter, heavy cream, sugar and corn syrup in a small saucepot over medium heat.
  • Whisk until the peanut butter is thoroughly melted, the sugar has dissolved, and the ingredients are completely combined (about 4 minutes).
  • Remove from the heat and whisk in the vanilla.
  • Let cool a few minutes before adding to ice cream.
  • Store in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks in an airtight container.

Notes

To Reheat:
Return to saucepot over medium heat and add 1-2 tablespoons heavy cream to thin.
