Rose Petal Bath Bombs

Homemade bath bombs make a wonderful gift for friends and family. They're also wonderful teacher gifts, too. These gorgeous DIY rose bath bombs have the sweet fragrance of roses.

Ingredients

  • 4 oz Baking soda
  • 2 oz Epsom salt
  • 2 oz Cornstarch
  • 2 oz Citric acid
  • 1 tablespoon Sweet almond oil or avocado oil
  • ½ teaspoon Water
  • 25 drops Rose essential oil
  • Dried rose petals as desired

Instructions

  • In a small bowl, combine the baking soda, Epsom salts, corn starch, and citrus acid. Mix to combine.
    4 oz Baking soda, 2 oz Epsom salt, 2 oz Cornstarch, 2 oz Citric acid
  • Slowly whisk in the wet ingredients.
    1 tablespoon Sweet almond oil, ½ teaspoon Water, 25 drops Rose essential oil
  • Add the essential oil while stirring.
  • Place some of the dried rose petals into the bottom of the mold.

  • Gently spoon the bath bomb mixture into the mold. Press the mixture firmly into the mold.
  • Allow the rose petal bath bombs to set for 4-6 hours.
  • Carefully unmold the bath bombs and store them in an airtight container.

Notes

If you don't have a bath bomb mold, you can ice cube trays instead.
Add a little bit of vitamin E oil or rose hip oil.
If you like, substitute the plain water for rose water.
To add color to your homemade bath bombs, use a little bit of beet powder.
