Ingredients

  • 12 store-bought or homemade chicken meatballs
  • 4 sub rolls
  • ½ cup store-bought or homemade tomato sauce plus more for dipping
  • 1 cup shredded parmesan cheese
  • fresh basil optional
  • butter optional
  • garlic powder to taste

Instructions

  • Hollow out a little bit of the roll to make more room for the meatballs.

  • Lightly brush the inside of the rolls with melted butter, sprinkle with garlic powder, and set them onto a baking tray. (optional step)

  • Toast the rolls at 400F for 5 minutes until lightly golden brown.
  • Place 3-4 meatballs into the sub roll, depending on the size of your bread.

  • Top with tomato sauce.
    ½ cup store-bought or homemade tomato sauce
  • Add shredded cheese on top.
    1 cup shredded parmesan cheese
  • Place the subs under the broiler just until the cheese melts.
  • Garnish with fresh basil, if desired. Serve immediately with tomato sauce for dipping.
