Waffle Fry Nacho

Ingredients

  • 1 22 ounce package waffle fries
  • ½ to 1 cup shredded cheese
  • 1 cup cooked taco meat
  • ½ cup warm queso dip

Optional Toppings

  • ¼ cup diced red onion
  • 2 roma tomatoes seeded and diced
  • 1 6 ounce can sliced black olives, drained
  • ¼ cup freshly chopped cilantro
  • Sliced jalapenos
  • Diced avocado

Instructions

  • Bake waffle fries according to the package directions on a sheet pan.
    1 22 ounce package waffle fries
  • Transfer the fries to a cast iron skillet.
  • Add shredded cheese and cooked taco meat on top of the fries.
    ½ to 1 cup shredded cheese, 1 cup cooked taco meat
  • Return to the oven and cook until the cheese is melted.
  • Remove from the oven.
  • Warm the queso dip and drizzle over the nachos.
    ½ cup warm queso dip
  • Add additional desired toppings.
    ¼ cup diced red onion, 2 roma tomatoes, 1 6 ounce can sliced black olives, drained, ¼ cup freshly chopped cilantro, Sliced jalapenos, Diced avocado

Notes

These nachos can be made on a sheet pan also following the same steps:
  1. Bake the fries in a single layer on a sheet pan covered in aluminum foil.
  2. Add the cheese and ground beef and bake.
  3. Remove from the oven and add toppings.
