How to Make Spinach Pasta

Making your own homemade pasta is easy with a pasta maker!

Ingredients

  • cup spinach
  • ½ cup water (to blend with spinach)
  • cups whole wheat flour
  • ¼ cup water (additional)
  • kosher slat

Instructions

  • In a blender, combine the raw spinach with the water and blend until smooth.
  • After that, add the flour and salt to the bin and clip in the lid.
  • Turn on the pasta maker and select quick pasta.
  • Add the flour, then the machine will let you know exactly how much liquid to add.
  • Add the spinach liquid first, then as the machine is kneading the dough, slowly add the additional water as needed.
  • The machine will automatically start to extrude the pasta once it is done the kneading.
  • Next, choose a length for your pasta.
  • For even cooking time, cut the pasta the same length.
  • After all the pasta is made, turn off the pasta maker.
  • Cook the pasta in boiling water for a few minutes until it floats (about 4 minutes)

Notes

TIP: The first inch or so of pasta might be a little bit floury still so simply cut off and set aside.
