Montreal Seasoning Mix

This tastes just like the store-bought Montreal seasoning! You won't be able to notice a difference.

Ingredients

  • ½ cup coarse salt
  • cup cracked pepper
  • cup onion flakes
  • ½ cup dried minced garlic
  • 2 tablespoons crushed red pepper
  • 2 tablespoons thyme
  • 2 tablespoons rosemary
  • 2 teaspoons paprika

Instructions

  • In a food processor, combine the salt, black pepper, onion flakes, garlic and red pepper.  Pulse 8-10 times until the mixture is well combined.
    ½ cup coarse salt, ⅓ cup cracked pepper, ⅓ cup onion flakes, ½ cup dried minced garlic, 2 tablespoons crushed red pepper, 2 tablespoons thyme, 2 tablespoons rosemary, 2 teaspoons paprika
  • In a medium-sized bowl, combine the mixture from the food processor, with the rest of the ingredients. Gently combine using a wire whisk.
  • Transfer the mixture to a large mason jar. Makes about 1.5 cups.

Notes

This recipe will make 1.5 cups of seasoning mix.
