I saw these cute Marshmallow "Paint Brush" Pops on Pinterest but the link didn't work (don't you hate that!?). I am happy to share with you a quick how-to on making these. The "paint brushes" worked great for Ethan's construction-themed birthday party, and they would work well for an art party, too. Plus, they're just fun to eat!
A quick word about planning. Before you being, be sure you know how you're going to display and store your "paint brushes." I used a tin container and also these cute white boxes with a piece of Styrofoam pressed into them so I could have the pops stand up. You could also dip them and put them chocolate side down - if you do that, you'll want to use a piece of parchment paper so that you can easily move them after the chocolate hardens.
Marshmallow "Paint Brush" Pops
Ingredients & Materials:
Candy melts
Jet Puffed Stacker Marshmallows
Popsicle sticks
Directions:
Gently push the popsicle stick about two-thirds of the way into a marshmallow. Repeat until you have as many as you want to make.
Heat the candy melts according to the directions on the package. I like to use a mini-crockpot for dips, but if you don't have one, use mug so that you have 'deep' chocolate instead of 'shallow.'
Dip the marshmallow into the melted chocolate. I let mine drip a little to look more like paint brushes. Let the chocolate harden before serving.
Since marshmallows tend to get hard fast, you'll want to make these as close to when you're going to serve them as possible. If you must make them ahead, let the chocolate set up completely, then carefully seal the pops in Ziploc bags. You can also store left overs - if there are any - in sealed bags for up to three days.

OMG, these look amazing. My OH bought huge marshmallows last week and had no idea what to do with them, so we ended up munching them. Could have done this and at least made them look more appetising. My friends' kids would think these were fascinating.

It's such a fun thing to do with kids! For the 4th, you could do red, white and blue. You can customize them for pretty much any party theme!
