Do your kids love decorating their own rooms like mine do? Here is a simple, but cute way for your child to create a fun wall hanging for their room.

This DIY Wall Art Craft from Pebbles and Piggytails is a good way for kids to express their creativity and create something classy too. My 7 year old daughter made this almost completely by herself and she was so proud of it! It's a very versatile craft for kids. The possibilities of themes, colors, and words used are endless. So let's get creative!

To make Kids Wall Art
You will need:
- 1 art canvas (you can also use wood, shoe box lids, etc)
- acrylic paint (assorted colors)
- chipboard letters (found at your craft store) or you can use vinyl or stencils
- assorted buttons, collectibles, or other doodads to decorate it with (optional)
- paint brushes
- glue gun/glue sticks

I found these chipboard letters at Hobby Lobby. The canvas and these little princess buttons were also from Hobby Lobby. But you could use any little items from around the house that shows off your child's personality for this kids wall art.

Step 1:
Pain the canvas any color you want.
(My daughter loved just spreading the paint all over and having freedom to paint over a large surface.)

Step 2:
Think of a word you want on your wall art. My daughter chose FAITH. Paint the letters any way you want.
(Kids will love this creative process)

Step 3:
After the canvas and the letters are completely dry, glue on the letters any way you want with glue gun. Help your child with the glue gun. Add the embellishments and doodads if you want using the glue gun.

And you're done!!! Go ahead and display it in their bedroom. So very easy. Thanks for stopping by!
