Today I’m celebrating the first day of school with this First day of School Interview Printable. Here in this part of New Hampshire, it seems like we start much later than a lot of other places, so you’ll forgive me for not publishing this soon!
I love this because it can be as interactive as you want it to be with your kiddos writing their own name on the line. The download also includes a blank page with the same border. Your little one can draw a picture about their day, while older ones can write in more detail about their day (you know, if you beg and plead!). Of course, it’s great for grownups, if they want to record a memory or two on the blank page, too! Plus I love that I can put a photo onto the page to remember exactly what she looked like.
Now today, is Olivia’s first day in “nursery” – she’s 3-1/2 and knows she’s hot stuff. Look out world!
With Olivia this morning, I felt very much in control of my emotions – after all, she’s at the same “school” she’s been at since she was 9 weeks old, and I know all the teachers. She happily found her hook and washed her hands, checking out her new surroundings as she greeted many of little friends she’s grown up with. That’s my little social butterfly.
Now tomorrow is another story… tomorrow Ethan starts first grade at a new school. So if you need me tomorrow, I’ll be crying over his baby pictures!
