    Easy Extension Cord Wreath

For Ethan's construction-themed birthday party, I wanted something festive to welcome guests.  Mr. Juggling Act was not happy to be tasked with this project because it was kind of time consuming... it's easy, it just took awhile!
I bought a 12" wire wreath frame from the craft store, and he used a 100' extension cord that he had on hand.  In hindsight, a cord half that long would have worked just as well, so take note!
Here's how to put it together.... Take the cord and find the middle - begin wrapping with the cord doubled up so that you'll have the ends (plugs) wrapped last. The process of wrapping the frame took about half and hour, so leave yourself plenty of time.  to make it by wrapping the cord around the frame. I wanted the ends to show in the front, so Mr. Juggling Act tucked them in justso.
He then declared the extension cord was never coming off the frame.
I added a quick construction zone sign I made on the computer to personalize the project. Mr. Juggling Act was less than impressed with the process, but even he had to admit it looked pretty cool.  And we did get quite a few compliments.  Mr. Juggling Act was quick to take the credit for the wrapping of the cord, repeating that he was never taking the cord off the frame.
Two weeks later, I sold the wreath at a yard sale to another mom planning a construction party for her son. Mr. Juggling Act was flabbergasted that I would sell his extension cord.
In my defense, he did say the cord was never coming off the frame, right?!?  Jesh!

Hi, I hope this finds you 5 years later lol. I just tried to make this extension cord wreath, and I felt like I was wrestling a bear. Any tips you can give me? I used a cross stitch loop, and I think that was my problem. I will go get a wire wreath frame. Thanks for this; I was at a loss.

It is a little tricky to manage... I suggest using an extension cord that is not too long to make it less tedious!
