If you’re familiar with my blog, Designs By Miss Mandee, you know that it’s no secret that I love printable art. It’s just such a cute and easy way to decorate your home—especially for holidays. And, like I said, you can’t beat the classics. Subway art is always a great way to make your home a little more whimsical.
One of my favorite 4th of July traditions was parachutes! Have you ever launched those little parachutes before? You light them just like a firework, it shoots into the air, and a little paper parachute comes gliding down. We loved shooting these off at my grandma’s house. She lives out in the country, and has a great big back yard—perfect for all of us grandkids to run around trying to catch parachutes like bridesmaids trying to catch the bouquet at a wedding! This was extra fun because you didn’t have to wait until dark to do it. If you have kids, or if you’ve ever been a kid yourself, you know how hard it is to wait for something fun. Waiting all day for fireworks was absolutely torturous, and parachutes were always the saving grace for our boredom.
So, I’ve shared a family tradition that we had growing up: do you have any fun 4th of July traditions in your family?
