Cheesy Spinach Dip with Garlic Roll Dippers will have your guests raving about your party!
- Frozen Dinner Rolls
- cream cheese, softened
- sour cream
- baby spinach
- mozzarella cheese
- shredded cheddar cheese
- garlic
- red onion
- salt and pepper to taste
- garlic powder
- butter
- grated Parmesan cheese
- salt and black pepper
🔪Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400-degrees F. Grease a 10" cast iron skillet and set the frozen dough on its sides. Let thaw for 1-2 hours.
2. Meanwhile, make the spinach dip by combining the cream cheese and sour cream in the bowl of an electric mixer fitted with a paddle attachment or a large bowl. Beat until creamy.
3. In another skillet, melt 1 tablespoon of butter (or olive oil) and cook the onion for 2-3 minutes on medium heat until they begin to soften. Add the minced garlic and cook 1-2 minutes more. Add to the dip mixture.
4. Remove from the stand mixer and add in half of each of the mozzarella and cheddar cheeses, and the baby spinach. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Using a rubber spatula, fold all the ingredients together until combined.
5. Transfer the spinach mixture to the center of the skillet. Allow the rolls to rise until they are almost double in size (for this recipe, they will not rise quite as much because we're cooking them as a pull-apart recipe.)
6. Brush the tops of the rolls with melted butter and sprinkle on the granulated garlic, and kosher salt to taste.
7. Top the creamy dip with the remaining mozzarella and cheddar cheeses. Sprinkle the Parmesan cheese over the top of the rolls and dip.
8. Bake for 18-22 minutes until the rolls are golden brown, the spinach dip is hot and bubbly, and the cheese is melted. Serve hot.

📖 Variations
We recommend that you try our creamy spinach dip recipe for the first time just as it is written for the best results because that is how the recipe has been tested.
However, the next time you make it, you might consider one of these different ways of making this great recipe.
- For a simple dip, skip the bread dough and just make yummy cheese and spinach dip in a small baking dish or a bread bowl. Serve the warm dip tortilla chips, crackers, veggie sticks or crusty bread for dipping.
- Instead of using mozzarella cheese and shredded cheddar cheese, you can use Colby Jack, monterey jack cheese, or even Pepper Jack for a little spicy kick.
- Add artichoke hearts to the spinach dip mixture. Drain a 6oz jar of quartered artichoke hearts and mix it into the mixture before baking for a cheesy spinach artichoke dip.
- For a little bit of heat, add a pinch or two of red pepper flakes or a dash of hot sauce.
- Sprinkle the top with crumbled bacon or bacon bits.
