We love pulled pork around here. The kids really love it, and I like it because it makes a ton. One pork shoulder or tenderloin can feed an army which means I can cook once and eat multiple times with a minimum amount of work. But I really love throwing it in a slow cooker and letting it go all day the day before a big gathering. Then it’s just a matter of warming it up and setting out dinner rolls to make sliders (perfectly sized for the kids) or large sandwich buns for the grown ups. Easy peasy!
This recipe is a little twist on the classic BBQ pulled pork. Since the dish and seasoning can be tweaked to your personal preferences, it’s great for both kids and adults. Our Asian version gives the pork a Korean flavor that’s just delicious. Top the sandwiches with a little of our Asian slaw and you have my favorite twist on a Southern classic. It’s just so full of flavor, and so very easy!
