I have four sisters and when all our families get together, there are a mirad of ‘food issues’ we have to deal with while planning the menu.  My poor mother does her best to deal with the dairy allergy, restricted diets due to gluten or lactose intolerances, and the just plain picky eaters!

Our Thanksgiving table a maze of foods, and for some of our family, navigating it was a little crazy.  In between singing praises for my mom’s cooking, there were lots of questions – “Please pass the gluten-free stuffing?”  and “Is this the squash with almond milk?”

Mom just plain gave up when it came to dessert.  In years past, we’ve had a counter full of pies and other sweets, but this year, it was just too much to think about with everyone’s differing diets.  If you or your family members have gluten intolerances or celiac disease, then you’ll love these 15 Gluten Free Sweets.

I’ve been following Nicole at Gluten-Free on a Shoe-String for a couple years now, ever since one of my sisters hasn’t been able to eat gluten.  I’m often forwarding new recipes I find to her, especially since she literally lives on the opposite side of the country and we only see each other once or twice a year.  I love feeling like we’re sharing something we have in common since I love to bake and she eats gluten-free.

Without further ado, let’s find some delicious gluten-free sweets, shall we?

    Hi Ang,

So many great gluten free ideas, the only problem is finding the time to make them all! Now it’s coming up to Christmas I’ve consulted with the kids on which of these they’d like to try as an alternative boxing day treat. They’ve opted for the turtle thumbprint cookies.
